【鉢植えのワルツ/ トルコギキョウペア】
・作品のご説明
《秘密のティーガーデン》は、絵本の主人公『ティーとカメレオン』の庭にある植木鉢を描いたシリーズで、私の大切なアンティークティーカップをモチーフにしています。ティーは庭のお花に水の代わりに紅茶をあげており、気づけば水やりがお花たちとの楽しいお茶会になってしまう――そんな小さな庭のお話が込められています。
 
こちらの作品では、トルコギキョウ のお花の女の子たちが、ティーカップの植木鉢の上で、ワルツを踊りながら紅茶を待っている様子を描いた作品です。
 
Secret Tea Garden is a series inspired by the flowerpots
in the garden of Tea and the Chameleon, the protagonists of my picture book.
The motif comes from my cherished antique teacups.
Tea waters the garden flowers not with water, but with tea.
Before long, watering turns into a delightful tea party with the flowers.
This small, whimsical story lives quietly within the series.
 
In this piece,
depicts girls made of lisianthus flowers waltzing in teacup flower pots while waiting for tea.
